Celebrating 35 years of Sleeman Breweries
It’s been 35 years since the first pint of Sleeman Cream Ale was sold, and the success of these past 35 years is all thanks to our incredible staff who have helped write Sleeman Breweries’ history.
Across the country, each location celebrated this milestone with food and friends, making memories for the next chapter of our story.
Reflecting on our 35th anniversary, Hiro Kitaoka, President and CEO, said “I hope that at our 40th and 50th anniversaries, and beyond, we are still strong in our vision, mission, and values of ‘Better Beer For All.’”
In Guelph, the Sleeman Employee Association (SEA) presented founder John Sleeman with a custom-made memento to mark the occasion. The piece is made from a 30L keg, fitted with new and retro Sleeman Cream Ale tap handles, a light, and a plaque that reads “John Sleeman CM. Founder and Chairman. Sleeman Breweries Limited.” The plaque is mounted between two round tap handles from the old brewhouse.
“I would like to thank all of our employees for sharing the dream and helping us to achieve our goals. It couldn’t have been done without them,” says founder John Sleeman.
