Sleeman Breweries appoints Dana Brochu as Vice-President, Marketing
Sleeman Breweries is proud to announce the appointment of Dana Brochu as our new Vice-President, Marketing.
In this role, Dana leads our Brand and Trade teams nationally, bringing a renewed emphasis on the power of both our people and brands to create compelling brand stories, products, and offers that disrupt the market.
“My job is to make it easier for our people to succeed at growing our brands. I take that job very seriously,” says Dana.
Dana has a wealth of experience marketing Canadian brands across the beverage sector. Joining Sleeman Breweries in 2016, she has spent almost a decade helping grow our diverse brand portfolio. “Sleeman is an iconic Canadian brand in an industry where the power of brands matters a lot,” says Dana. “Right from my first pint of Sleeman Cream Ale in my 20s, I’ve been sold on the quality and great taste of Sleeman beer. I’m a true fan.”
Originally starting on an academic path focused on biochemistry, Dana gained exposure to marketing through summer jobs, eventually choosing to switch to business studies. As Vice-President, Marketing, she appreciates having the opportunity to use both her analytic and creative skills.

Dana is aware of the impact and importance of being a woman leader in the beer industry and particularly at Sleeman. “Seeing so many growing leaders in the company is motivating for everyone - it’s important that all employees can see the opportunity and value that we all can provide,” she says. As Vice-President, Marketing, Dana is focused on driving sales and on creating longer term loyalty and health of our brands. “What I like the most is that we have such a broad portfolio and some very iconic and unique brands that speak to different audiences. That’s a challenging and very exciting part of being a marketer at Sleeman,” she says.
