Winners of the 2025 Future on Tap scholarship
Each year, Sleeman Breweries supports the academic goals of women, transgender, non-binary and Two-Spirit students through our Future on Tap scholarships. These two prizes of $2,500 each are awarded to students studying brewing or science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) programs at Canadian post-secondary institutions.
Through these scholarships, Sleeman Breweries aims to create more opportunities for groups that are underrepresented in the brewing industry.
Applicants are asked to share how they feel they can contribute to the reduction of gender-based stereotypes and biases in their chosen fields.
“This year’s applicants were outstanding,” says Adrienne Fox, lead of Sleeman’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee. “As a committee, we were inspired by our winners’ skill and drive. And beyond that, we were all so excited to see their commitments to making a better future for everyone.”
This year’s winners are Hiskia Kamdem Belle (University of Montreal) and Aditi Datla (University of Toronto). Both are inspiring future leaders.
“I want to contribute to a field that is more inclusive, fairer, and above all, more representative,” says Hiskia.
“There is a girl out there, staring at the stars, and not yet holding the books to understand them. I want to reach her, help her stay curious, and help her find her place,” says Aditi.
Members of Sleeman’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee were involved in reviewing the applications and working together to select a winner. Reviewers enjoyed the opportunity to see how today’s students plan to shape the future.
Our Future on Tap scholarship is making an important difference for these students and we’re proud to support them!
Applications for the next round of our Future on Tap scholarship open in spring 2026. Watch our website and social media channels for more information.
