Three ways beers in the West are giving back this spring

Supporting local matters to us. You don’t get to be Canada’s third-largest brewer without growing pretty deep roots. This spring, Okanagan Spring Brewery and Wild Rose Brewery - our breweries in the West - are making a difference through three community-focused projects.

Okanagan Spring Brewery x Veritree – Scenic Route Mixer plants 20,000 trees

From April through December, every purchase of Scenic Route Mix pack helps toward Okanagan Spring Brewery’s commitment to plant 20,000 trees in 2024. That works out to about one tree planted for every pack sold. In partnership with Veritree, Okanagan Spring Brewery is planting enough trees to cover about 12.5 NFL-sized football fields in Williams Lake, BC. We’re restoring critical landscapes in our own BC backyard.

Okanagan Spring Brewery - Wildlands BC Pale Ale supports local growers

This month, Okanagan Spring Brewery launched Wildlands BC Pale Ale. In an exciting first for Okanagan Spring Brewery, this beer is made with BC ingredients. We’re supporting local growers, producers and their families with this distinctly BC beer. The hops come from Abbotsford and the malt from Armstrong, BC. The result is a refreshing pale ale with a crisp, citrus finish.

Wild Rose – Sunday Fuzz funds service animal projects

Sunday Fuzz is a seasonal wheat beer accented with real peach puree, and is only available in the spring months. Chimo Animal Assisted Wellness and Learning Society (CAAWLS) is a group in Alberta that brings trained therapy dogs to businesses and community groups to increase mental wellbeing in their community.

Together, they’re a perfect pair.

While supplies last, for every four-pack of Sunday Fuzz sold in Alberta, Wild Rose will donate $0.25 to support CAAWLS. This is the fourth year that Wild Rose has supported CAAWLS with the Sunday Fuzz seasonal.

We take our responsibility to our local communities seriously. Through these new initiatives, we’re giving back in a way that makes a difference.
